On the south of the island, this small town has grown amazingly in so few years, although the original square, church and school still form the basis of village life. It is crammed with tavernas, bars, shops and restaurants, with a happy mix of youngsters, families and couples all enjoying Kardamena's cosmopolitan atmosphere.

The main harbour front becomes extremely lively in the evenings with discos and bars. There is a marvellous stretch of sandy beach with an abundance of watersports to keep you happy.

28 Km away from Kos town there Kardamena spreads along the beach, a community with modern substructure and buildings which are mostly hotels, bearing the preference of a lot of tourists.

Kardamena is a unique tourist centre with a lot of rooms, tourist offices and shops. From the little harbour you can enjoy daily excursions to and from Nissyros as well as to Kos town. Kardamena is also rich in night life with its Pubs, Discos and Clubs. Taverns by the sea side offer fresh fish.
